The state of things

Welcome to the first devlog for Whodunnit: the Midnight Murder Mystery Files.

You may have noticed that the public beta was posted a few days ago.  This beta contains one mystery, and is intended for testing; if you play it and run across any bugs, please let me know.  There was a web build posted for a while, but I found some crash issues that forced me to take it down.  The web build was always intended as a teaser, briefer than even the demo, but it was the lowest of the low in terms of priority so I nixed it entirely.

Regardless, I am intending for there to be one mystery per difficulty level (four in total) available in the demo.  Two have been written thus far, with two left.  There are also one or two bugs left on the list to squash and a feature that needs to be tested a bit more thoroughly before the demo drops, but I am expecting it to be available very early next week.  At that point, I will work on developing the rest of the mysteries for the game's full release, which is TBD.

Expect Whodunnit to be available for sale here on Itch, as well as on Steam, Google Play, and potentially GOG, with versions available for Windows and Android for less than $10 USD... although the final price is still as yet undetermined.

And if video devlogs are your thing, check out my channel over on the YouTube and watch the latest upload:

Stay tuned for further updates, including a link to the Steam page for all of your wishlisting needs.
